The Moomin´s Day Collection of 2026 is the fourth and the last in a series of four seasons in Moominvalley. It shows a beautiful landscape in warm and deep autumn colours. Inspired by the comics strip story Moomin’s Winter Follies (1955), the Moomin family realises that winter is approaching and starts preparing for hibernation. Moominmamma and Moominpappa are hurrying towards the Moominhouse, carrying lots of dry hay. They need a lot of hay to sleep in and to fill their stomachs with spruce needles. Moominpappa realises that he doesn´t have to do the same thing as his ancestors. He isn´t sleepy at all and wakes the family up to explore the interesting, but a bit scary, winter.
Autumn is receding, and the Moomins are preparing for hibernation. The family needs a lot of hay to sleep in and pine needles to fill up their stomachs before the long rest.
