In the F-mug, the Lady of the Cold has brought her freezing frost to Moominvalley. Winter-loving Hemulen tries to lure everyone outside to go skiing, but Too-ticky urges the valley's littlest inhabitants in particular to stay indoors. The illustration is based on the book "Moominland Midwinter".
In A-mug, Snorkmaiden prepares for the ball. A comet threatens Moominvalley, and the inhabitants want to celebrate before the end of the world. The Snufkin and the grasshopper begin to play, and everyone finds a mate.
The illustration on the back side of the M mug with a lavender-coloured background features Hemulen, who is offering milk to Thingumy and Bob – as happens in the story “Finn Family Moomintroll” where the Moomin family meets the shy and mysterious twosome, Thingumy and Bob, for the first time.
Dr Hatter, a psychiatrist who is hinting in the I-mug, has got the Moominvalley crowd in stitches. The Constable suspects he is being spied on. Fillyjonk walks around with an umbrella even though the sun is shining. In her characteristic way, Moominmamma puts things back in order. The illustration is based on the comic strip "Fuddler's Courtship".
The L-mug shows Moominmamma weaving a sock. In the backstory, Moominpappa and Moominmamma, eager for change, move into a cave but agree to return when the children find them. The illustration on the back of the mug, which is part of the Alphabet collection, is inspired by the Moomin family cartoon.
In the Y-mug, Snorkmaiden's love letters have found their way to Nibling's attention. She fears that the creature, who is revealing secrets, will tell Moomintroll, who is already clearly suspicious. The illustration is based on the story "Moominland Midwinter".
