In the story behind the illustrations for the Little My set, a comet is drawing closer to Moominvalley. When the inhabitants of Moominvalley suddenly flee their homes, Little My, Moomintroll, and Snorkmaiden set out to investigate the matter. True to her nature, Little My is not too worried about the approaching comet. She lies down in a meadow to stare at it.
The harmonica-playing Snufkin is a gentle and carefree vagabond who loves to fish. His best friend is Moomintroll, and Little My is his half-sister. Snufkin wears a green wide-brimmed hat and goes his own way. In the green Snufkin mug from the Moomin Classics collection, Snufkin stands confidently wearing his trademark clothes and with a pipe between his lips. He has just given Moomintroll and Sniff advice on how to spend their money.
